Who We Are
Jackie of All Trades is a premier furniture and design company based in Alabama that serves clients all over the US. Our retail store, coupled with comprehensive interior design services, offers everything from custom upholstery to outdoor furniture—all curated for style and quality at accessible prices.
Jackie had a dream to offer a place in town where the environment would be Inspirational and comfortable to shop for home decor where everyone is welcome.
Jackie’s vision started at a young age. As she grew up there were many flea market trips and home projects on the farm.
Through college and beyond she was drawn to creative friends and teaming up to help others to make a space their own.
This came to life January 2007 when Jackie & Sonny opened the doors in downtown Tuscaloosa. The retail store quickly grew to offer design services for residential and commercial properties. As we expanded we settled into our final home in 2020 after renovating a former greenhouse and
Our business has grown to include projects locally and beyond. However, staying true to our roots we stretch our imagination, make things happen and make the process fun.
Our family friends and faith are all important to us and we are grateful for all the people we have met along the way and those who will cross our paths.

Jackie Skinner
Owner
Jackie was born and raised in Southern Indiana and went on to graduate from The University of Louisville. She made Tuscaloosa her home after discovering the south. Jackie enjoys the beach, and traveling with her husband Sonny. Their son Luke grew up around the store, learned the ins and outs and did his part on the delivery team through college. She loves dessert, and working a flea market find or antique into her designs.
Allison Thomas
Designer
Allison is from Tuscaloosa, and graduated from Southern Methodist University. She started her career in Nashville before moving back home with her husband Josh, and two children Henry and Frances. She spends her time hosting her family and friends, staying involved in her community, and being a leader in her church. Allison loves Mahjong and working the perfect fabrics into her custom designs.
Libby Stovall
Designer
Libby is from Tuscaloosa and attended the University of Alabama where she was on the Equestrian Team. Now she spends her free time with her husband Hunter keeping up with their two sons, Harris and Grady. Libby loves being with her family on Lake Tuscaloosa and Seaside Florida, and keeping her designs vintage and classic.
Mary Beth Skinner
Designer/Marketing
Mary Beth is a Tuscaloosa native. She graduated from The University of Alabama with a degree in Marketing and a Masters in Business Administration. After working in higher education, she decided to join the family business. She likes to spend her free time reading, shopping, or near the water with her husband Brandyn. Mary Beth loves Diet Coke and a good coffee table book.
Beth English
Accountant
Beth is originally from Tuscaloosa, but spent 14 years in Louisville Kentucky before moving back to sweet home Alabama. She graduated from Troy University with a degree in Accounting and obtained her CPA thereafter. Beth enjoys competitive tennis and loves being active, especially outdoors. She is married to Jeff and they have three children, Allie, Jack, and Hannah. Beth’s home is a reflection of their family…cozy and charming.
Tina Varney
Administration & Ordering
Tina is originally from Pikeville Kentucky where she attended business college. Tina and her husband Dave moved to Tuscaloosa where they raised their two sons Matt and Noah. She likes to spend free time with her friends, small group, and traveling. Tina’s has a traditional style and appreciates a unique accessory to add character.
